The way of life in 1960's

In the 1960's there was alot of big events going on. So I thought I would list a few to let you see what it was like to live in the 1960's. The first event I thought was very important during this time period was that hippies was a big thing! The reason why I feel like this is big, because if you think about it this what people kinda needed then, what I mean by that is they neeeded to think more positive about life and not want so much war.Try to handle things with more peace than so much anger and hate. Another event that stuck out to me was that in 1963 Martin luther king had given his "I have dream" speech. That had just talked about how no matter anybody's skin color they should be treated the same regardless, that "they should not be jugde by the color of their skin but by the content of their character". I thought it was so crazy that John .F Kennedy had been assassinanted during this time period. I say that because he had helped alot to make things peaceful. I can say that I think this time period was all about trying to make peace and be happy.
