Life in the 90's

Life in the 90's was a different than in the 60's. The music, The faishion, Even the hair styles. The 90's music varied alot, There was alot of big music stars, just to name a few. There was the Backstreet boys, Bolton Micheal, Mariah Carey, The Spice Girls, K-ci and JoJo, Celine Deion and Puff Daddy. They all had a different type of sound From the 60's. 60's meanly about peace and being happy, the 90's was a little bit different.


The hairstyles in the 90's for guys was either the hair cut with zig zags going through it or the Nike print shaved into there heads. If you ask me i think its kind of cool. Another thing that guys was very big on was the dreamy floppy dawnson's creek look. Also goatees were big too. The womens look was short hair cuts and puffy curls.

The Fashion was fairly simple tight waisted hip jeans that was skinny around the ankles. Retro colors bright funky and very high fashion . The 80's and the 90's was full with retro colors. Also women would wear there shirts very baggie that it hung off there shoulders. The 90's to me seem very fun, free and BRIGHT!!

Music in 1960's

Music in the 1960's varied.Pink floyd was the first band to play psychedelic music. the "twist" was a popular song in the 1960's because it helped people let go the cold war tension. Also music back the consisted of long instrumental solo's and weird electronic effects. Etta james music seem to be popular to back in the 1960's. In 1961 Etta james at last was a real big success some people say it was because people felt like the world was changing and becoming something different and beautiful. Others simply say it was because it was just a good song. The beatles was popular two back then for there music, their music was mainly about having peace or finding peace. That was a good thing about their music because hippies was very big in the 1960's.I think music in the 60's was very important to have, because of going through so much and needing something that you could hear and enjoy, that can get you through hard times.

The way of life in 1960's

In the 1960's there was alot of big events going on. So I thought I would list a few to let you see what it was like to live in the 1960's. The first event I thought was very important during this time period was that hippies was a big thing! The reason why I feel like this is big, because if you think about it this what people kinda needed then, what I mean by that is they neeeded to think more positive about life and not want so much war.Try to handle things with more peace than so much anger and hate. Another event that stuck out to me was that in 1963 Martin luther king had given his "I have dream" speech. That had just talked about how no matter anybody's skin color they should be treated the same regardless,that "they should not be jugde by the color of their skin but by the content of their character". I thought it was so crazy that John .F Kennedy had been assassinanted during this time period. I say that because he had helped alot to make things peaceful. I can say that I think this time period was all about trying to make peace and be happy.
